Brian Branch is tired of the Chiefs’ antics.

After the Lions lost to the Chiefs, 30-17, on Sunday night, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes tried to shake the Horses’ safety’s hand when chaos broke out.

After refusing to shake hands with Mahomes… Branch walked up to receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and slapped himWhich sparked a large-scale battle between the two teams.

The branch will likely be penalized in some way by the league, e.g NFL Network reported That his actions will be reviewed.

The video showed Branch getting hit in the back by the veteran receiver on the first drive play with 3:26 remaining when the outcome of the game had already been largely decided.

Smith-Schuster came down the left sideline, collided and hit Branch from behind before stomping on him, shades of Allen Iverson in the 2001 NBA Finals.

No flag was thrown on the play, even though there was supposed to be one.

Branch referenced that play and said he “could have been hurt” while defending his actions after the game.

“It was a childish thing, but I’m tired of people doing things in between plays that the refs don’t catch,” Branch said. “They’re trying to bully me over there. I never should have done that. It was childish.”

Lions coach Dan Campbell called on his star defender to spark the brawl.

“I love Brian Branch, but what he did is unforgivable, and it will not be accepted here,” Campbell told reporters during his press conference. “That’s not what we do. That’s not what we’re about, and I apologize to Coach (Andy) Reid and the Chiefs and (Smith-Schuster). That’s not OK. That’s not what we do here, and it’s not going to be OK. He knows it, our team knows it, so, that’s not what we’re doing.”

Detroit can’t afford to lose Branch, as they already have most of their secondary, along with DJ Reed and Tyrion Arnold. He is expected to miss several weeks due to injuries.

The Lions (4-2) next face the league’s hottest team in Week 7 when they battle the Buccaneers on “Monday Night Football.”
