Violent clashes between Hamas and armed tribes in Gaza City: Report

At least 27 people were killed after violent street fighting broke out between Hamas terrorists and members of armed tribes inside Gaza City.

The bloodshed began on Saturday near the city’s Jordanian Hospital, when Hamas security forces exchanged fire with members of the Dughmush family — one of the most powerful clans in Gaza, which has long been at odds with Hamas, the BBC reported. I mentioned.

Residents described the state of chaos in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood in Gaza City, as hundreds of Hamas fighters advanced toward a residential building defended by Dughmush gunmen, leading to the outbreak of violent battles in the streets.

At least eight Hamas members and 19 members of the Dugmush clan were killed in the deadliest internal fighting since Israeli forces began leaving the Strip.

The Hamas-controlled Interior Ministry said its forces were moving to restore order and warned that “any armed activity outside the framework of resistance” would be met with decisive action, the BBC reported.
