
Venezuela closes the embassy in Norway after the opposition leader’s Nobel
Venezuela announced that he would close his embassy in Oslo on Monday after the opposition leader Maria Korea Mamdo was honored with the Nobel Peace Award.
In a statement, the Venezuela government did not comment on the rewards of Machado, saying that closure was part of his foreign service restructuring.
The Norway’s Foreign Ministry confirmed that Karakas had closed its embassy in Oslo without cause.
On Friday, the Nobel Committee in Oslo was known as “her tireless work of democratic rights for the people of Venezuela”, while Venezuela leader Nicholas Maduro called the 58 -year -old award as “Demonic Dyain”.
The Norwegian Foreign Ministry called the decision “regret”.
“Despite our disagreements on many issues, Norway expressed his desire to open the dialogue with Venezuela and will continue to work in this direction,” a ministry spokesman said.
She said that the Nobel Prize is “independent of the Norwegian government”.
Machado has been conducting a campaign against Maduro for many years, whose 12 -year rule has been seen by many nations as illegal.
Karakas also closed its embassy in Australia while opening a new outpost in Zimbabwe and Burkina Faso, called “strategic partners in the battle against hegonic pressure”.
She has been forced to hide in the last year.
In honor of her duties, Nobel President Jargen Watt said Fridane to Makado “One that once called a united person in a serious divided political opposition … now has to face humanitarian and financial crisis.”
Machado told BBC Mundo Her award for her political movement was “like injection”. She said, “Venezuela’s people increase energy, hope, strength because we have realized that we are not alone.”
Venezuela closes the embassy between two nearest American friends, after a week’s stress between Caracas and Washington.
The US troops have destroyed at least four boats, saying that drugs were being implemented in the United States from Venezuela, and the Donald Trump administration has called a war on drugs.
These strikes are attracted to the country, including Venezuela and Colombia. Some international lawyers have described these attacks as a violation of international law.
Norway was a political shock by the Norway Nobel Peace Award. Beijing suspended trade and other relations, and after six years, Oslos had only normal relations.
