A New Jersey– A United Airlines flight from Los Angeles on Monday made an emergency landing shortly after takeoff after an engine caught fire, aviation officials said.
United Airlines Flight 2127 took off from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) around 10:15 a.m. and turned around an hour later due to left engine problems, the Federal Aviation Administration told Fox News Digital.
United Flight 2127 returned safely to Los Angeles to fix an engine problem,” United told Fox News Digital. “Customers disembarked via slides and air stairs and were seated in the terminal.

None of the 256 passengers and 12 crew members on board the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner jet were injured, the airline said. The FAA did not specify the problem with the left engine.

The plane had taken off Newark Liberty International Airport Before he turned around. The FAA said it is investigating the incident.

Passengers were boarded at the terminal and a different plane was arranged to take them to their destination, United said.
“We are grateful to our pilots and flight attendants for their quick actions to keep our customers safe,” the airline said.
