President Trump arrived in Israel to oversee a historic hostage exchange after brokering a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas that brought an end to the bloody two-year-old conflict.
Trump landed at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv at around 9:43 a.m. local time on Monday morning, and deplaned from his plane to attend a red carpet reception on the outskirts of Lod.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sarah, were seen with Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, at the airport before the president’s arrival.
His arrival comes as seven freed hostages were seen crossing into Israel.
