The US is flaunting military power over the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln as tensions rise with Iran

The US Central Command presented the aircraft carrier’s operation method USS Abraham Lincoln on Thursday as tensions with Iran continue to escalate.

The nuclear-powered ship arrived in the region earlier this year with its strike force, bringing additional F-35C and F-18 fighters that can target deep inside Iran.

Lincoln saw its first test in the latest conflict on Tuesday when it shot down an Iranian suicide drone over the Arabian Sea after it “aggressively approached” the US warship.

“Continued Iranian harassment and threats in international waters and airspace will not be tolerated,” US Central Command said.

“Iran’s unnecessary aggression near U.S. forces, regional partners, and commercial vessels increases the risks of collision, miscalculation, and regional destabilization,” the military added.
