Shakur Stevenson has been released from his WTG lightweight world title after winning a WBO belt in a new section.
While he was still high off his best victory in his career, and conspired his next movement, The sanctioned body announced that the light belt is now empty.
“In light of the fact that the Stevenson champion is now a great light weight world champion who reigns and is consistent with WLC’s rules and regulations, the WBC has declared its light world title empty.
Many fans and analysts, and Stevenson himself, obviously expected him a little longer to decide which department he wanted to compete next.
The 28 -year -old man from Newark took the move as a personal insult, and said his close association with Terence Crawford – which was removed from his WBC ultra -medium weight strap because he did not pay sanction fees a few days before his retirement – affected the decision.
“And just paid these dudes after my last fight … What is the hell (am I) giving all 100k right now? Because you have a beef with a bud so come to me for it.”
“100k for some crooks they don’t deserve? Nah Leilani I prefer to give to your little girl… WMA didn’t even have this battle and he eats them alive. Take your belt, it doesn’t make me.”
After entering the debate, Crawford responded on Instagram, first addressing the sanction body and then Stevenson.
“WBC – there’s no way you’re still as mad as this. It’s cool, bro, the Ring Belt was free.”
The WLD has not yet commented on the reaction of his former champion, Stevenson.
