Stream it or skip it?
Last seasonI admit, I’m starting to get anxious about Netflix Sell OC It was drying out a little. The Alex-Tyler romance was just taking shape, and there were only so many women named Alexandra that one could reasonably keep track of. Now that Season 4 has arrived, the show feels fresh again thanks to three new agents who have quickly integrated into The O Group, but there’s still plenty of drama with the old cast as well… including Alex and Tyler.
Sell OC (Season 4): Do you want to stream it or skip it?
Opening shot: factor Sweet geo He shows his latest listing, a $17.5 million waterfront home in Newport Beach, to his boss Jason Oppenheimwho seems to really like the place. almost, Alex Hall He appears to wink too.
Essence: Things have changed a bit since we last saw our friends at the Oppenheim Group branch in Orange County. There are three new agents joining the show, Fiona Bell (the young and inexperienced one), Ashtin Zerboni (the pregnant one), and Kylie Ricciardi (the one with the connections at Coachella).
Gio has long been a villain on this show, with a pretty boy superiority complex, and he immediately starts questioning young Fiona about her experience, and they immediately start questioning Kylie about her new client who happens to be porn star Riley Reid. Gio claims that OC is too conservative for someone like him Which He wins when Kylie suggests they team up to show Riley one of Gio’s lists.
Lest you think the only interesting storylines have to do with Gio harassing new people this season, don’t worry, there’s still plenty of old, turbulent drama from the past bubbling up. Tyler Stanaland He may not be part of The O Group anymore, but he’s still part of the show, and after a year and a half of being incommunicado with most of his old teammates, he’s starting to reach out to them. When Polly Brindle told Alex that she and Tyler had drinks to catch up (on a professional level), Polly shrugged it off, saying it was no big deal, but Alex felt a little insulted. Before Tyler left the office, she finally opened her heart to him and it didn’t work out. These feelings are still raw, and seeing so many of her coworkers talking to Tyler leaves her feeling betrayed.
Wait until you hear the rumor that new agent Ashten heard, that Tyler was cheating on Alex the whole time they were together…

Take us: It feels unfair to compare Sell OC to Sunset salebut considering that both shows have dropped new seasons in the past few weeks, it’s hard not to. where Sunset saleNow in the ninth season, I feel that he is unable to develop at this stage. Sell OCnow in its fourth season, still looks watchable this season.
I have to give some credit to the cast okay; It’s refreshing that there are a lot of messy men on this show; while sunset The Oppenheims seem to be constantly arguing with a group of women intent on looking foolish okayThe cast isn’t exactly balanced, but it’s nice to have some guys in the mix. But the new cast, specifically Kaylee and Ashtyn, also entered with enthusiasm and seemed to understand the task immediately. When Kaylee first arrives and brings her porn star client, Gio, who shows his conservative values and discomfort, he makes it clear that this isn’t actually an OC vibe Kaylee challenges this and through their exchange, shows us that she’s a unique new character on this show, someone who doesn’t give up on things, conservative OC vibes. Ashtin… Okay, my friend He does Give those vibes, but I’m here for her to immediately reveal the gossip she knows about Hall and Tyler, and continue to be a bottomless well of chaos all season long.
It’s been a year and a half between seasons, so the show does its best to step back and fill in the blanks as to where the cast ended up, and at times it feels difficult – how could Alex really… Still Be mad at Tyler, they’ve barely been dating and it’s been 18 months?? – Maybe that’s why we’re being redirected to the new cast. Fortunately, they helped give this show the adrenaline shot it needed.
Sex and skin: The cast can occasionally run blue and throw some dirty references into the conversation but there’s no sex to speak of.
Parting shot: In the final scene of the first episode, newcomer Ashtyn reveals to the team (everyone except Alex) that she had a trusted source who told her that when Tyler and Alex were finding out if they were going to get together, Tyler had a whole other girlfriend on the side. A moment later, we see a clip from later in the season where Gio tells her: “My best advice? Keep your head down and sell real estate.” “Thank you for the advice,” Ashtin answers emphatically.
Performance worth watching: I love Kylie’s vibe. She announces that she’s not interested in gossip and that she’s not here for the drama, but it also seems like she’s not taking BS from anyone, especially Gio. So, while she may not be spreading rumors and gossip like, say, Ashtyn, she also looks like she might clash with some of her castmates this season.
Unforgettable dialogue: “Players keep changing, and their faces are pretty, but that’s not going to help you ring that bell,” says original OC agent Brandi Marshall in a confessional, as if he’s crafting the perfect log for the show’s fourth season with all the new agents and new rosters.
Our call: Sell OC It seems to have struck a strong balance between rehashing and building on old stories and introducing new players and new drama this season. Broadcast it.
