President Trump addresses the Israeli Parliament after the return of the living hostages

President Trump on Monday declared the Gaza ceasefire to be “the end of an era of terror and death” and “the historic dawn of a new Middle East” while speaking to Israel’s governing body.

The president received loud applause when he was introduced to the Knesset hours after Hamas released all living hostages as part of a truce agreement between the movement and Israel.

He said: “This is the end of the era of terror and death and the beginning of the era of faith, hope and God.”

“It is the beginning of great reconciliation and lasting harmony for Israel and all nations in what will soon be a truly wonderful region. I strongly believe that this is the historic dawn of a new Middle East.”
