Oleksandr usyk rejects an age narrative: “I feel 23” in front of re -sent Dubois

The United usandr heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk rejects the narrative that he was old entering his re -sentence with Daniel Dubois’s IBF Champ on Saturday, July 19th. Usyk (23-0, 14 kos) says he feels “23,” and believes he will show him by beating Dubois (22-2, 21 kos) in their knee on possibly Dazn ppv At Wembley Stadium in London.

Usyk is 38, and says he has two fights left in his career. One of those may be against Tyson Fury if he is serious about wanting to fight in 2026.

Usyk feels young against dubois

“I feel 23 or 24,” Oleksandr Usyk told Queensberry When asked about his gray hair in front of his fight against Daniel Dubois on Saturday.

It would be a mistake for Dubois to assume that the 38 -year -old usyk had gone old overnight since his victory over Tyson Fury last December. That was just over six months ago, and usyk looks the same as he did then.

Dubois is not as tall or skilled as rage. So, this could be an easier battle for usyk, which makes well against big punishers.

“Maybe because he’s a world champion,” said Usyk if he believes Dubois has changed since he fought in 2023. “Daniel has grown. He won his last three fights. Daniel is a little different for this fight.”

Dubois may have gained more confidence since his battle with usyk, but wise in style, he is the same fighter. Daniel went through a little Gauntlet against Anthony Joshua, Filip Hrgovic, and Jarrell Miller. Amazingly, Joshua was the easiest of the three. But even in that fighting, Dubois was hurt, fortunately Joshua had gone unhealthy in the fifth.

Usyk: Undoubted title is important

“For me, it doesn’t matter. Daniel has the IBF. Enough,” said Usyk when he was asked if he sees Dubois as a real champion because he was promoted rather than winning it. “It will be an undoubted battle for four belts. Only this is to me.”

Usyk doesn’t care how Dubois got his hands on the IBF title. He wants to win the belt from him so he can become an undisputed champion again. It would likely be sweeter if Anthony Joshua or the Moses Itamama very hyped holding the IBF belt because there would be more interest in the fighting. Usyk would earn more of their beating than Dubois, who has a reputation for quitting.
