Muratalla-Cruz November Fighting Not Happen
IBF light champion Raymond Muratalla will not defend against Andy Cruz compulsory on the November 22nd card in Riyadh. It’s a battle that Cruz (6-0, 3 kos) wanted, but won’t happen.
Muratalla-cruz fights away
Mike Coppinger report be the winner of the 2020 Olympic Gold MedalCruz, was “on board the ship,” And he left him on that, suggesting that he did not want to fight Muratalla.
Top Rank has not announced his plans for his fighter, Muratalla (23-0, 17 KOS), as he cannot hold his IBF title for long before the battle with Cruz is ordered. He is believed to have nine to twelve months before he is forced to protect against Cruz or abandon the belt.
That would be a bad look on the part of Muratalla if he was left or removed from his IBF title for failing to defend against Andy Cruz. Supporters on social media believe he did not want to lose his O. So he chose to not take the fighting with Andy.
Muratalla, 28, misses out on a golden opportunity to prove himself by fighting against Andy Cruz at the Turki Alalshikh event on November 22nd at Arena Anb in Riyadh. If Raymond fought on that card and won, his stock would rise, and Turki would likely invite him to his other events. But for him not to fight Cruz gives fans the impression who didn’t want any of that talented Cuban smoke.
Champion Eddie Hearn has been quiet about who he wants Cruz to fight next. He doesn’t want to put it in with the other light he promotes, Shakur Stevenson because he is trying to locate him for a battle against Gervonta Davis. Andy would ruin things by beating Shakur, making him look bad, and permanently ruin his chances of getting a taste of the millions he would enjoy from fighting a tank.
The evolution of cruz fighting style
Andy’s fighting style has been gradually adapted by his coach, Derek ‘Bozy’ Ennis, since turning into Pro in 2023. He has become more of a puncher in the past year and chases his opponents with power shots. In Cruz’s previous fighting, Hironori Mishiro stopped in the fifth round in an IBF title eliminator on June 14th in Madison Square’s garden in New York.
