Kylie Jenner has slammed her as “out of touch with reality” over a Kylie Cosmetics ad
Kylie Jenner is encouraged to read the room following the launch of her latest Kylie Cosmetics promo.
Over the weekend, she She posted a short video on Instagram Show her captured.
The clip showed the reality star-turned-billionaire wearing a black leather bra, matching short shorts, silver hip chains, sheer black stockings, and black pointy-toe pumps.
Her long, dark, wavy locks — with touches of teal — cascaded down her shoulders, and she wore smoldering makeup.
Jenner, 28, was handcuffed and strutted down a prison hallway in slow motion as two police officers walked behind her on either side.
“King Kylie. Tomorrow flashed” across the screen as a woman was heard whispering the words.
“King Kylie” refers to Jenner’s rebellious style in 2015 — the year she launched her lip collection that evolved into the empire she has today.
Some fans were excited about the return of Jenner’s memorable era, writing things like, “Oh, we’re back so much!!!!”
But others criticized the “Kardashians” star for the artistic path she took in her appearance.
“The country is boiling, citizens are being dragged off by rogue badge-hungry hired cops, and Kylie Jenner drops a handcuffed hot pants photoshoot to promote cosmetics. This isn’t satire, it’s American rot,” wrote one angry Reddit userreferring to ongoing ICE raids across the United States.
Another critic responded: “Laughs like she can understand what the people she dresses up are going through. This is insanely disgusting and I haven’t even thought about how that could happen.” Deeply Out of Touch That was until I read your title to this post. “You’re right.”
A third defector described the announcement as “truly terrible.”
Another person wondered if Jenner was “trying to re-ignite the same controversy that (her sister) Kendall (Jenner) had with the tone-deaf Bisbee ad???”
In the infamous ad in question, Kendall, 29, quells a confrontation at a protest by offering a can of soda to a cop.
Others pointed to the various protests the country has witnessed under the slogan “No Kings” against what demonstrators feel are the authoritarian policies of President Trump.
“To add to that, does anyone else find it weird that there are ‘No Kings’ protests all over the country, and she’s dropping a photoshoot called ‘King Kylie’ with the associated photos that the OP (original poster) mentioned?” one observer asked.
Kylie’s representatives did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
