Kamala Harris’ return to the political scene is best described as “embarrassed” by Generation Z

I suppose I should admit that. miss Kamala Harris. Life in this country wouldn’t be the same without her.
We missed her musings on yellow buses, her talk of coconut trees, and of course her musings on the nature of time.
Since Kamala fell silent, I often find myself returning to her greatest hits, to remind myself for example that time, when you think about it, is of great importance.
Most of all, I missed those wonderful wine-soaked stand-up moments, when she talks about something she seems to find endlessly amusing.
For reasons no one can explain or share.
So I’m relieved to find out that Kamala is back. Pretty much.
Thursday The former vice president made a 30-second promotional video Where the question is asked that is on the lips of all Americans.
“What’s going on with Kamala’s headquarters?”
This is asked in an offstage voice while Kamala is smiling like crazy.
“Well, I’m so glad you asked,” our hero replied. “I have good news. So Kamala’s headquarters is turning into a headquarters.”
If the importance of this has passed you by, let me explain that Kamala HQ is an X address that has sadly remained dormant ever since Kamala failed to gain any voters in November 2024 elections.
“Um, I’m really excited.”
In case anyone thinks I’m exaggerating here, let me just remind you that not only did Kamala fail to increase Joe Biden’s share of the vote, she performed worse than him among groups — like young female voters — that Kamala expected to have in the bag.
So The newly renamed “Headquarters”. It seems to be “the place where you can go online to get the latest what’s going on.”
I’m not entirely sure what market the former VP is speaking to here.
After all, there are plenty of places online and off where we can actually get the latest on what’s happening.
There are newspapers and news websites, for example.
Even blogs, social media and more.
Has Ms. Vice President had her phone and other devices taken away from her since her defeat in 2024, thus remaining unaware of this entire subculture we call “news”?
Finally, we get a little clarity from our star.
Still smiling from ear to ear and gesturing in that memorable way that she’s with the kids, she tells us that at “Headquarters” we’ll also be able to “meet and revisit with some of our great, courageous leaders. Whether they’re elected leaders, community leaders, civic leaders, faith leaders, youth leaders. Um, I’m really excited about that, so stay involved and I’ll see you there.”
I’m not sure why we need to “revisit” any of these anonymous people.
Have we ever visited them so often that we forgot to visit them for a while? And who are these exciting community, religious and civic leaders who have remained silent since the Kamala headquarters stopped pumping out content?
Beyond time
If you’re still not clear what’s going on, well at least Kamala and her team have given us some clues. One is that They decided to adopt it The X is for “@headquars_67.”
This is a reference to an internet meme that was briefly popular with some young people a while ago.
The meme — which like many internet memes is too complex and unimportant to delve into here — refers to a desire to be with children.
Unfortunately, the meme was long dead and buried even before Kamala and the social media geniuses decided to dig it up and bludgeon its corpse one last time.

Even CNN admitted that this attempt to look cool is almost the epitome of what kids might call “frustration.”
Kamala couldn’t have looked more out of sync if she started talking about Pepe the Frog.
But another clue as to what Kamala hopes to do is the revelation that this new, kid-friendly site aims to be “the new progressive content hub led by Gen Z.”
In partnership with the “progressive” non-profit organization People for the American Way, we are told that this partnership aims to “mobilize youth in favor of justice, equity, and democracy against right-wing extremism.”
This might be a good time to remind people of Murray’s Law. It is that you should never use a term in politics that only a crazy person would say the opposite of.
Can someone at HQ or People for the American Way find me the young people in America who declare themselves to be “anti-justice, anti-fairness, anti-democracy”?
And perhaps they are out there somewhere, along with another right-wing bogeyman from the radical left’s imagination.
But I have yet to meet any American who declares his policies to be any of these things.
“Yes, my own politics are based on opposition to justice and equity,” no one in America has ever said.
Craving for Gen Z
But that doesn’t matter. Desperate to come back from electoral disaster, the radical left must mobilize every member of Generation Z to start the fight against “far-right extremism.”
But just remember how this term has been abused by these people over recent years.
Once a useful and sometimes necessary term, the far left has decided that almost everything is far right if it is something they disagree with.
police? Far right. Ice? Fascist far right. President Trump? Literally Hitler.
How did this game work for them?
Remember, in 2024, Kamala Harris underperformed Joe Biden in the 2020 race by about 7 million votes. The 2020 Biden election was the election in which the Democratic candidate barely left his basement.
Perhaps Kamala and her “progressive” allies really believe that Gen Z and others can be won over through old memes, “revisiting young leaders” and having a site “where you can go online to basically get the latest on what’s going on.” I wouldn’t be sure about that.
But at least there’s still good news for us Kamala watchers. She’s back.
