LONDON — The Jets took a beating on Sunday, and now one of their best players may miss time.

Wide receiver Garrett Wilson injured his knee in Sunday’s game and will undergo testing to see how serious it is.

Wilson was in and out Sunday’s 13-11 loss to the Broncos.

The Jets threw the ball to him in the final third of the floor, but it was knocked out of his hands near the Jets sideline.

Then he went out and was not in the game on the Jets’ final offensive snap.

“I will find out here soon and figure out how to move forward based on what I find out,” Wilson said.

Wilson did not say what part of the body was injured, but he was limping in the Jets locker room and a source confirmed it was a knee injury.

Wilson said he underwent an X-ray at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and is expected to have an MRI scan on Monday.

He was asked if he was worried he would have to miss time.

“We’ll find out,” Wilson said. “I don’t want to say anything too soon. I’m just trying to wait for things to come back. It’s really messing with my mind. I don’t even want to think about it for real. I’m just praying that everything comes back okay.”

The Jets gave nine sacks to the Broncos. Some of that was on QB Justin Fields for holding onto the ball too long, but the offensive line got beat up a lot as well.

The Broncos are known for applying pressure, but the Jets didn’t seem ready for that.

“We knew that,” guard Joe Tippman said. “We just have to be able to be consistent and study more and be able to make those plays when they count and be able to hang in there so that Justin, no matter how much time it takes, can get the ball out.”

This is the Jets’ second straight poor performance in pass protection.

The Cowboys had five sacks last week.

The Jets defense bounced back from a poor performance against Dallas and had its best game of the season.

The Jets held the Broncos to 246 total yards and just one touchdown.

The defense held a players-only meeting this week to talk about its issues.

“I feel like we accomplished what we wanted to accomplish,” said Jermaine Johnson, who was injured in his first game back from injury. “You can’t give up 35, 30, 25 points. We said we had to be the reason we won or be in it. I feel like we accomplished that.”

CB Qwan’tez Stiggers and LB Cam Jones both left the game with groin injuries.
