Fabio-Wardley-and-Daniel-Dubois Jarrell Miller says Wardley vs Dubois ends in KO: "He's been hurt a lot of times"

Fabio Wardley a Daniel Dubois set to clash in two months, with the WBO heavyweight title at stake. Now, an American heavyweight Jarrell Miller has offered his thoughts before the fight, having a history with both men.

Miller met Dubois back in 2023, when he was stopped in the quarterfinals with less than 10 seconds left on the clock. ‘Triple D’ then defeated Filip Hrgovic and was promoted to IBF world champion, defending the title against Anthony Joshua before losing it to Oleksandr Usyk.

18 months after defeating Dubois, ‘Big Baby’ was about to travel across the pond for a first fight on British soil, due to face Wardley at Portman Road – the home of Ipswich Town Football Club.

However, Miller pulled out of that competition due to injury, replaced by Justis Huni, who was dramatically knocked out by the Britand so did Joseph Parker four months later.

That win over New Zealand’s Parker saw Wardley win the WBO Interim title, and was upgraded to WBO world champion soon after. Against Dubois, he takes on a tough challenge for his first defense, one that Miller told New Betting Offers goes one of two ways.

“It’s 50-50 in my book, and I’ll tell you why. We’ve seen Wardley hurt many times in fights, but he’s tough. He’s mentally strong, he hangs in there, and he throws hard punches into the last round.

“We know Dubois hits hard and has a very good chin, but mentally, he’s not tough. If his dad doesn’t stay in his ear for those 12 rounds, there’s a fight where he’s given up, mentally disengaged after getting caught with shots, and kind of giving up.

“So, he’s probably going to start out pretty strong, but if Wardley can hang in there, I’m thinking a late stop for Wardley, or an early night win for Dubois.”

Wardley-Dubois takes place on Saturday, May 9, at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, for what looks set to be another all-British affair for the coveted heavyweight throne.
