Trump administration Announced this week The Vice President will help lead a task force targeting fraud in the Golden State.

According to reports, President Donald Trump will sign an executive order appointing Vance as head of the task force.

The move is part of a national crackdown on fraud in the wake of widespread outrage over the theft of money intended to feed and provide day care for children in need in Minnesota.

Vance’s role as California’s de facto fraud czar sends a message.

Not only does it demonstrate how seriously the Trump administration is taking fraud in a state that has little anti-fraud oversight with lax state and local governments.

But it also shows the potential scope of fraud here.

The Vice President of the United States does not spend time rooting out crimes that do not generate large sums of money.

Indeed, the Vice President did so He cited $7 billion in fraud in California’s federal welfare programs — and described extortion as “much worse” than fraud in Minnesota.

This is absolutely true.

So it’s a good thing the feds, led by the Vice President himself, are stepping in to stop the looting.

Taxpayers deserve accountability and accountability.
