I Refused to Give My Birthday Cake Away, and My Colleague Lost Her Mind / Bright Side

I Refused to Give My Birthday Cake Away, and My Colleague Lost Her Mind / Bright Side

Last week, for my birthday, my colleagues at work surprised me with a cake. It was quiet Thursday, and I didn’t really expect anyone to remember my birthday. I am not big in issuing ads on this topic, and we were all buried under the deadline. So when my colleagues called me in the rest room with a “surprise!” The chocolate cake revealed with my name, I really touched.

They even ruined a clumsy birthday message on a card and added a candle to the cake. He was not exorbitant, but he was thoughtful, and he meant a lot. After we celebrated, one of my colleagues, who did not participate in the cake, said that she wanted to take some of her children.

I reluctantly agreed. When she turned, she was shocked to see her taking the remaining cake. I told her that she could not do that. She said she needs it because I do not have children. I just took the cake away from it.
