I had no idea the reason for raising money. I immediately faced it, the race race. “What is this?” I asked, carried the paper. “Why do you have a lot of money provided?”
Without shyness, confession began. He took a deep breath, and his eyes fell to the ground. I looked almost calm.
“Several years ago, before we got married, I discovered that my ex -girlfriend had gave birth to my child. She did not tell me until she was four years old, and at that time, she didn’t want to participate. But I couldn’t walk away. So, I started saving money for him.”
I sat there, surprised. Words did not drown at first. He had child – a 10 -year -old son – I never knew. We were together for years, we raised life, and discussed our future. However, this other life, a secret that I had no idea, was quietly revealed behind my back.
I stood to find my voice, my thoughts are blurred. “All this money has been provided … for a child you never told me?” I asked, my voice barely above the whisper.
