Hillary Clinton heaped some rare praise on her former arch-enemy Donald Trump for his handling of the Gaza peace deal in a recent interview.

“I really commend President Trump and his administration,” Clinton said. He told CBS News 24/7 Friday.

She added: “And so do the Arab leaders in the region, for their commitment to the 20-point plan and seeing a way forward for what is often called the next day.”

Clinton’s comments came just one day later Hamas agreed to Trump’s peace plan In an amazing step that is expected to end the two-year war that has ravaged the Gaza Strip.

The agreement – which was welcomed by Gazans and Israelis alike – will see detainees released 48 Israeli hostages remained early on Until Monday, Israeli forces will withdraw from the territories in stages.

Hamas is scheduled to be disarmed, while a transitional government led by an international body will be formed to govern Gaza.

An independent Palestinian state would be an “aspiration” for the people of Gaza, believing that these conditions were left unclear in the agreement.

Clinton — who called for a two-state solution as secretary of state under former President Barack Obama — encouraged the Trump administration to make efforts and hold Israel and the people of Gaza accountable to the terms of their agreement, as well as the rest of the world.

“Let’s now support this process and bring it together, not just in a nonpartisan way in our country, but literally internationally as a major global commitment to try to bring peace, security, stability and a better future to the Middle East,” Clinton told CBS.

She also praised the smart move taken by the Trump administration to bring Israel to the negotiating table after Hamas leaders were attacked by Israel during peace talks in Qatar in September.

“This provided an opportunity for both President Trump and his representatives to rally all the regional powers, including, of course, Qatar, but also to make clear to Israel: No, that’s enough for now. We cannot continue this. This conflict must end, and we must move forward,” Clinton said.

Clinton is Not the only Democrat To acknowledge praise for Trump’s handling of the war between Hamas and Israel.

Jake Sullivan — President Biden’s former national security adviser — reluctantly credited Trump with ending the conflict.

He added: “Only now, after all this time, have we reached an agreement.”

President Obama himself even praised the deal in a post on X — but failed to include President Trump’s name in his comments.
