Hamzah Sheeraz gives Edgar Berlanga a humble experience
On Saturday, July 12th, at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York, fighting fans saw a perfect example of when talking litter is incorrect, as Hamzah Sheeraz stops Edgar “The Chosen One” Berlanga (23-2, 18 kos) in the unity round.
Throughout the promotional part of the event, Edgar Berlanga took advantage of every opportunity he had to troll Hamzah Sheeraz. While Berlanga made all the talking outside the ring, Sheeraz made a definitive statement inside the square ring.
During the initial fighting press conference, Berlanga took his first chance of contravening Sheeraz. After taking part in the surface-to-face, Berlanga decided to take a step back and fired imaginary gun shots in the direction of Sheeraz.
As a guest on the show called ‘Face Off’, Berlanga was asked if he was serious when he said he would cast Sheeraz out in the first round, and responded by saying, “If he comes to fight, you are going to see. It’s different. It’s different. Different. Bro, bro, I tell you, it’s different, bro.”
As a guest on the radio show ‘The Breakfast Club’, Berlanga was asked about Sheeraz’s weaknesses, and responded by noting, “It’s a soft fro, it’s a soft man. It comes from the UK, so when you bring them on this side, it’s different.”
At the last press conference, Edgar Berlanga doubled down on his first -round prediction by saying, “You know that I am the king of the 1st round. You know that I am the king, so I’m going to touch the GGA jaw n*GGA, f ** Kin Jiraff.”
To conclude the final press conference, Edgar Berlanga and Hamzah Sheeraz participated in a last face. Berlanga again went to the disrespect as he placed his fist on Sheeraz’s jaw.
Edgar Berlanga took advantage of every opportunity he had to troll his opponent. During one of her training sessions, Berlanga was multitasking as he trained when talking about Sheeraz.
“He hasn’t struck me like he hit Adames. He’s not going to hit me like he hits Ammo. He hasn’t gone to hit me with that sh*t. I promise you.”
On a fighting night with 45 seconds left to go in the fourth round, Sheeraz dropped Berlanga when he landed a hard left hook, followed by a fast fire combination. Berlanga rose, and the fight continued.
Seconds later, Berlanga was hit by another powerful combination that led him to fall first to the canvas. Once again, Berlanga got up as the bell sounded to end the fourth round.
At the beginning of the fifth round, Sheeraz landed a three -mine combination that dropped Berlanga for the third time. Once again, Berlanga got up, but the referee stepped in to stop the fight.
With the victory, Hamzah Sheeraz (22-0-1, 18 kos) made a major statement. As well as making an emphatic statement inside the ring, Sheeraz became an ultra-centered WTG number one competitor.
Hamzah Sheeraz took all the negativity thrown at him, and treated him with dignity and class. He then continued with his business -like approach to Fight Night by implementing his game plan and winning the big win.
Throughout the promotion of the fighting, Berlanga’s antics were getting the laughter, but it became humble inside the ring, and Sheeraz had the last laugh. Matchup Sheeraz vs Berlanga turned into a perfect example of the term ‘Action speaks louder than words.’
