Get Vergil Ortiz to sign the contract
Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis sent a message to the Oscar de la Hoya promoter, telling him to sign the contract for his fighter, Vergil Ortiz Jr., to fight him next. That’s the battle that Ennis (35-0, 31 Kos) wants to increase his popularity before he moves on to face the four champions at the age of 154.

“I come. Tell him about signing the contract,” Jaron ‘Boots’ said Ennis to Ifl TV When asked if he has a message to Vergil Ortiz Champion Oscar de la Hoya, following his victory over Uisma Lima last Saturday night.
Golden Boy remains quiet after Ko wins
De La Hoya did not directly say it will give Vergil Jr a green light to fight against ‘boots’ ennis last Saturday when he posted twice on his X Count following his first -round victory over Uisma Lima. Instead of telling his followers he wanted to fight, De La Hoya said, “Only one name is 154, Vergil Ortiz.”
Does Oscar defend his last big star?
That might mean he let his fans know that Vergi Jr. is better than Ennis, but he’s not going to fight. De La Hoya has no stars other than Ryan Garcia, and his position is shaky. If Ortiz Jr. misses to Ennis. It’s going to be difficult to rebuild.
“He has an important battle coming up against Lubin. Let him handle his business, and I will fight the winner,” Ennis said.
Lubin (27-2, 19 ko) has a good chance of defeating Ortiz Jr. If he can use his boxing and movement skills as he did in his unanimous 12 round victory over Jesus Ramos JR on September 30, 2023. It will be much more difficult for Erickson to do the same for Ortiz Jr.
Tim Bradley: “Ortiz can’t beat Ennis”
“Vergil Ortiz can’t beat ‘Ennis shoes’. Vergil Ortiz, make sure you go past Lubin,” said Tim Bradley on her channel. “The next fight will be against Boots Ennis.
Ortiz JR has a chance of beating Ennis if he can pull his big shots and apply the kind of weight on him he did in his unanimous 12 round victory over Israil Madrimov on February 22, 2025.
‘Boots’ is likely to use a lot of movement to stay out of a range of Vergil shots and try to box it if he can’t handle his power.
