“Evil Dead” star Bruce Campbell has “treatable” but not “curable” cancer.

Bruce Campbell has revealed he is battling incurable cancer and has paused work commitments to focus on his treatment.
The 67-year-old “Evil Dead” star shared the news on Monday On X.
“Hey people, these days, when someone has a health issue, it’s referred to as an ‘opportunity’, so let’s deal with that – I’m having one of these,” he wrote. “It is also called a type of cancer that can be treated but not cured.”
“I apologize if this came as a shock, it was for me too,” he continued.
Campbell said he would not go into details about his cancer, but noted that his future public appearances should now take a back seat.
“My plan is to be the best I can be over the summer so I can tour with my new movie ‘Ernie & Emma’ this fall,” he wrote.
“Treatment needs and professional obligations do not always go hand in hand.”

“Don’t be afraid, I’m a burly son of a bitch with great support, so I expect to be here for a while,” he wrote.
He concluded, “As always, you are the greatest fans in the world and I hope to see you soon!”
Campbell is best known for playing Ash Williams in Sam Raimi’s horror series ‘The Evil Dead’.
