Devin Haney’s credibility on the line? Abel Sanchez says that Jose Ramirez’s fight will reveal whether Haney deserves to be mentioned with Gervonta Davis and Shakur Stevenson

Coach Abel Sanchez says Devin Haney has the harder fight than Ryan Garcia for the Fatal Fury event on May 2nd, going up against Jose Ramirez. Ryan fights against Rolando ‘Rolly Romero (16-2, 13 Kos).

Haney Test

Sanchez says the former WBC and WBO Ramirez lightweight champion (29-2, 18 kos) will show what Haney (31-0, 15 ko) will be “made out of.” Abel says this fight will show whether Devin belongs there with Gervonta Davis and Shakur Stevenson.

No one has been comparing Haney with either of those guys because he is already struggling even before losing him to Ryan last April. Haney had huge problems with his fighting with Jorge Linares, Vasily Lomachenko, and Alfredo Santiago. Devin’s problems are expected to get worse now that he is fighting in 147 against men who can punch.

Haney, a former two-division world champion, was built around him and became a light-hearted champion lightly, and he did so by beating George Kambosos Jr. besides him, Devin has no victories over credible opposition.

Haney vs Ramirez. I think (Ryan) Garcia stops Rolly somewhere around the seventh or eighth round, ”said coach Abel Sanchez to HUB TV fights When asked who would have the harder time between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney with their fought spouse on May 2nd on the Fury Fatal card against Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero and Jose Ramirez in Times Square in New York City.

Top layer?

“I think Haney fighting is a difficult battle. We’re going to actually see what Haney is doing because Ramirez is going to give him a hard time. Robert (Garcia), his coach, will put a game plan together as he did for Barboza (Arnold) which will make it all difficult for Haney.

“It depends on how Haney looks in his next battle,” said Abel when he was asked who wins the re -sending between Ryan Garcia and Haney. “If it’s all suddenly it shows us that it belongs up there, that’s a tough battle for Garcia because it will be smarter, Haney Will,” said Sanchez.
