Bradley says that Shakur Stevenson is ahead of more celebrities
Tim Bradley believes that the next stage of the boxing star will be shaped as much by visibility as what is happening in the area. In his view, Shakur Stevenson is in a position to reach a level of mainstream recognition that Terence Crawford’s “Bud” never reached full during his own elite run.
Bradley sees that result unfortunately but inevitably. He is careful to emphasize not criticism of Crawford or his career. Crawford built his reputation on results, not self-promotion, who secured his place in boxing history on his own terms. Bradley argues that the difference is not talent or fulfillment, but an approach.
For much of his erection, Crawford showed little interest in promoting himself. He stayed away from social media and rarely pressed for interviews. That choice on his site did not affect the sport, but he restricted his reach with casual supporters and the wider public. Bradley considers absence to be a key reason that Crawford had never crossed fully into the territory of the mainstream stars.
Stevenson has taken the other route. He remains active on X and makes himself constantly available to the media. Even when critics argue that his messages rarely change, his constant presence keeps his name circulating. Bradley believes that visibility only carries weight, even without natural charisma or refining delivery.
“I think Shakur has the ability, and he’s not a shadow on Terence,” said Bradley on his channel. “He will be remembered forever. Terence changed the game, and that made his way. I think Shakur is going to do that way too.”
Bradley does not consider Stevenson as a strong speaker in the traditional sense. It refers to interviews that often revisit the same themes and weigh heavily on confidence rather than insight. That restriction, however, does not concern him.
“But I think it’s going to be much more popular, and much more respected than I think is Terence Crawford,” said Bradley. “That’s a shame, but this is what it is. I wouldn’t say it’s charismatic. It’s not Ali. It’s not going to have to do with his mouth. Shakur becomes a star with his skill, and by beating the boys you feel he can’t beat.”
