Former President Bill Clinton And former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gave very different reactions to House lawmakers last week when President Donald Trump asked if she would testify in the Jeffrey Epstein inquiry, a newly released video shows.
The two testified before the House Oversight Committee behind closed doors for hours in their hometown of Chappaqua, NY.
Each was asked by the Democratic Party whether Trump himself should appear before the committee, given his own known past ties to the late financier and sex trafficker.
Hillary Clinton responded, “Sure,” when Democratic staff asked the question.

Trump has denied any wrongdoing in either case.
Neither case was linked to Epstein, but Hillary Clinton claimed it proved a “pattern” of behavior that would be relevant to the committee’s investigation.
“I think the scope of this committee’s investigation requires President Trump to be impeached. I know he’s been impeached many, many, many times. He’s taken the Fifth Amendment many, many hundreds of times,” she argued.
“So I’m not saying you’ll get a lot of information, but given what’s in the files and past and past conduct, he’ll be on my witness list.”
However, Bill Clinton’s response was much more muted.

Rep. Asked by Rep. Robert Garcia, D-Calif., the committee’s top Democrat, whether Trump should be subpoenaed, the former president did not express support one way or the other.
“That’s for you to decide. But he knew him well, and I had a brief discussion with him once,” Bill Clinton said.
Garcia tried to move on to the next Democratic lawmaker before Bill Clinton spoke again, saying, “I hate it, because I don’t believe I should inject anything, but I don’t want to leave an impression, but because there’s no follow-up question, they’ve never — never the president, that’s 20 years ago.” Either nothing told me, or nothing to make me think he was involved in eprops.
“He just said, ‘We were friends. And then we had a fight over a land deal, a property deal.’ That’s all,” said Bill Clinton.
He then said he knew “somehow” that the conversation took place on Trump’s golf course and that the former president had flown on Epstein’s plane.
