Oscar winner Barbara Streisand We hear there are talks to appear at the Oscars to sing a tribute to Robert Redford.
Streisand and Redford — who died on September 16 at the age of 89 — co-starred in the 1973 classic “The Way We Were.” (Babbs, 83, is supposed to sing the film’s theme song, which won an Oscar at the 46th Academy Awards in 1974. The film also won for Best Score, and Streisand was nominated for Best Actress.)

A source tells Page Six Hollywood that Streisand will sing during the “In Memoriam” segment, which will also likely honor Hollywood icons Rob Reiner, Catherine O’Hara, Diane Keaton, Gene Hackman, as well as Val Kilmer, James Van Der Beek and more.
Streisand was nominated for 14 Oscars, and won two, for Best Actress for “Funny Girl” and Best Song for “A Star Is Born.” Redford also won two Oscars: for his film “Ordinary People” in 1981, and an honorary award in 2002.
The 98th Academy Awards ceremony is scheduled to be held on March 15 at the Dolby Theater at Ovation Hollywood.
