Americans stranded in Dubai report flight cancellations amid Iran conflict

American tourists Stuck in Dubai They are struggling to get home amid rising tensions with Iran, facing repeated flight cancellations and growing security concerns. Department of State The US urges citizens to leave parts of the region.
“We’ve rescheduled several times. And actually, I was waiting to come in… while on the air, I found out that our flight tonight was canceled as well, so we’re kind of back to square one,” said Lewis Herle, a Pennsylvania resident stuck in Dubai.
Herl joined “Fox & Friends” on Wednesday, where she discussed the obstacles preventing her from returning to the US.
She was scheduled to leave late Sunday night, though Herl said her flight — originally scheduled to land in Washington, D.C., Monday morning — has been canceled multiple times as Operation Epic Fury continues.

“It’s really hard to find real information. The State Department is helping. They’re giving alerts. We’re getting alerts from them. Dubai AirportWhich I just got to cancel my flight,” she shared.
“However, I think… now that it’s been going on for a few days, things have been pretty quiet around here for the past few days.”

But that calm was shaken overnight, she said, after a drone strike near the US consulate in Dubai.
“It was very close to my hotel,” Herle said. “I didn’t realize there was a drone strike, but I heard several fighter jets … passing by the hotel. There was a lot of activity around midnight, around 1 a.m.”
“That has raised a lot of concern,” she said, noting rumors of a possible military migration.

It comes as the State Department urged Americans to leave more than a dozen countries in the Middle East.

Kristy Elmer, a New Hampshire resident stuck in Dubai, said the situation has changed dramatically in recent days.
“The weekend was really impressive. I think there were hundreds of missiles and drones,” Elmer told “The Will Cain Show” on Tuesday.
“But then Monday and Tuesday slowed down a lot, and I’d say a few hours ago, we started to feel a lot of explosions again…”
Elmer said A hotel was hit Near where she lives.
“The Fairmont is actually across the water from us, so we can see it from our hotel,” she said. “There’s a little bit of fear when you think about how that could potentially affect you when it’s close to your hotel.”
Like Herl, Elmer said she has repeatedly faced flight cancellations while trying to leave Dubai.
