Wild video showed a Texas airport worker losing control of a refueling hose, causing a messy spill of highly flammable liquid around a plane on the runway, according to footage and authorities.

The catastrophic leak occurred Saturday while an employee was refueling an American Eagle plane parked at a gate in Dallas-Fort Worth Airport’s Terminal E, American Airlines confirmed in a statement to The Post.

The worker appeared to move away from the scene as large pools of flammable fuel began to form.

A Dallas-Fort Worth Airport spokesperson told the newspaper that the airport’s spill containment infrastructure caught the leak, and the surface was cleaned.

The exact amount of fuel spilled is not yet clear.

The worker appeared to move away from the scene as large pools of flammable fuel began to form.

“We are investigating the incident with DFW Airport and the airport’s fueling contractor, Menzies, and worked together on the cleanup according to procedure,” American Airlines said.

Menzies did not respond to a request for comment at the time of publication.
