4 gunmen arrested after mass shooting at football game in Mississippi that left 6 dead and 20 injured

Four people were arrested in connection with the case of A A shooting spree at a homecoming football game in Mississippi As a result, six were killed and more than ten injured, according to authorities.

On Sunday, the agency released photos of a female and three males who appeared in a surveillance video and were identified in an FBI poster as “unidentified suspects.”

Authorities added that other arrests are still pending.

The shooting happened around midnight on Main Street in Leland, Mayor John Lee previously told The Post.

The county coroner identified the four victims who died at the scene as Orishama Johnson, 41; Calvin Plant, 19; Shelbona Powell (25 years old); and Caslyn Johnson, 18 years old. WBLT reported.

Amos Brantley, 18, and Jamichael Jones, 34, later died of their injuries at the hospital, the newspaper reported.

Ten others were treated in hospital. Their identities were not revealed.

Among the victims were recent graduates of Leland High School who had returned for a popular annual reunion at the school’s homecoming football game.

Witness Jennifer Buckner, who was enjoying the party with her niece and some friends, recalled the shooting coming out of nowhere.

The first round was a few quick hits that didn’t completely disrupt the party, but it resumed several minutes later and it descended into chaos.

“It was probably 10 minutes of consistent, constant, automatic shots being fired… and it went on for a long time. And people just started running,” Buckner told The Washington Post.

The FBI said the shooting appeared to have “resulted from a dispute between several individuals,” but did not reveal the exact motive for the massacre.

Two more people were killed in separate shootings during a football game on the east side of the state in Heidelberg on Friday night.

Two people, including a pregnant woman, were found dead on the Heidelberg High School campus the same evening of the game, according to police and Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves.

Police have not yet confirmed when the shooting took place or whether it was near the stadium

An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder and unlawful possession of a handgun on a school campus in connection with the Heidelberg shooting, Jasper County Jail records show.
